UniFEP SDK Released

Enfour Group Headquarters, Sendagaya, Tokyo. February 20th 2001

Today, Enfour Inc. made available an SDK for the UniFEP series of products based on the Symbian Platform (EPOC).

UniFEP is a Unicode input, display and localization environment for Asian languages. Widely popular with Psion users in Japan, UniFEP will soon be released in Korean, Traditional and Simplified Chinese version. Hardware ROM variations will appear later this year. (Other languages are planned.)

Enfour's SDK explains (in English) UniFEP's behavior, APIs and includes sample code for developers to enable Asian language support in their own applications. Details for both C++ and OPL development is provided, as well as APIs and open source code for multi-byte text encoding conversion. A UniFEP engine for the WINs emulator is included.

Through UniFEP, EPOC devices have been able to tap the huge potential of Asia's mobile computing markets. Now, through the release of UniFEP's SDK, third parties are able to provide localized solutions to these high-growth regions and offer even better products to very appreciative customers.
